Word of the president
I was only eleven years old when Martin Luther King was killed in April 1968. The images on television had a great impact on my life. He had a dream. His speech became worldwide history. His dream came true. At the age of twelve I also had a dream in my heart: to be a mother of all the street children. Every night I prayed, I saw the fearful and dirty faces of the little beggars in front of me. “I wish I had a fortune to help all these children", I said to God. He didn't give me a fortune, but he gave me my dream. He gave me something valuable, to believe in His words. He gave me the strength and perseverance to hold on to this dream, in spite of adversities and struggles. He gave me something really special, lovely people with affection in their heart. He gave me you, to fulfill this dream together, and to save many children from an awful existence. On behalf of the management of the Kades Barnea Foundation, I want to thank you for your prayers and financial support. We want to reach more people, that's why I want to ask you a favour.
